AME Update: New KC branch

You’ve probably seen that we’ve had several events in Kansas City lately … and that’s because we now have a KC branch to the AME Program.

AME was founded in 2007 by Christian Home Educators of Colorado to provide families with resources and training for young people beyond high school. Since then, AME has hosted conferences, seminars, and trainings across the country. We also offer resources through our website, including an informative blog, apprenticeship/mentorship database, and email updates about top apprenticeship opportunities. (Learn more about AME here.)

Bringing it to the Midwest

Last year, a team in Kansas City came together to host the KC Family Economics Conference. This team, made up of the Laporte, Menning, Perry, and Ward families, launched the KC branch of AME to bring resources and training to their region.

To date, Kansas City has hosted the 2015 Family Economics Conference, a family fellowship gathering, and this fall, the Biblical Stewardship Real Estate Seminar. The next event is coming up on December 1st (learn more here).

AME is all about relationships.

We’re taking education beyond the facts and into real life. We encourage you to start building connections with other families in your local community, whether that’s Colorado, Kansas City, or elsewhere. (Interested in bringing an AME event to your area? Contact us.)

June 18, 2020

Guest contributor – Shari McMinn The landscape of family living shifted significantly this spring when every school in our nation physically closed due to Covid19, with associated social distancing and ‘stay at home’ government orders.
