AME Q&A: Why would I want to become a mentor?

Do you enjoy your field of work?

Would you like to invest in the next generation?

If you answered yes, then mentorship may be for you!

Mentors have the opportunity to walk beside young people who are pursuing God’s calling in their lives, investing practical and spiritual knowledge into the next generation.

When you become a mentor, you have the opportunity to share your passion for your field of work with someone else.  You’ll share your wisdom, lessons you’ve learned the hard way, and life experience, all of which will help kickstart them into their own work.

Beware – mentorship will change the young person’s life, but it may change yours too!  Investing into another person causes us to evaluate our own lives, and God often uses it to refine us to be more like Christ.

Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

Will you consider being a mentor?

AME has become a bridge between Christian business leaders and families seeking to teach their children Christian values in the workplace.  We’re here to help mentors connect with young people.  There’s no cost to participate.  To find out more about becoming an AME mentor partner, click here.
